Wedding Ceremonies By Rev. Katherine

Providing Beautiful Wedding Ceremonies
in the San Francisco Bay Area and Beyond

As a wedding officiant, I take responsibility for the big picture of your ceremony, so you can relax and enjoy this important day. My specialty is celebrating your love for each other through meaningful and memorable ritual in a loving environment.

My ceremonies are heartfelt and romantic, spiritual but not religious. They are mostly non-denominational, but can also be traditional. I love to keep it light!

As a minister, my philosophy embraces all major religious traditions, so I’m happy to weave in elements from your spiritual background.

I will construct and craft your ceremony according to your style and personality. Since this is your day, you are welcome to write your own vows, add personal and/or humorous vows to the ceremony, or you can use my tried and true vows.

I like to involve friends and family in the ceremony in gentle and non-threatening ways. This gives them an experience of participation, and it adds to a feeling of connection and support in the room. If you have small or grown children, they can be included in family vows.

I can help create an “out of the box” type of ceremony and am also available for elopements or a one-stop trip to the county clerk for a license, wedding, and authorized certified copy of the license. If you are coming to the San Francisco Bay Area from out of town to be married, I can help you with the process of getting your license, and I have resources for everything you will need, such as, caterers, hotels, flowers, etc. If you want to get married on a yacht on the San Francisco Bay, a historic Victorian church on a hill, a quiet, private redwood grove, the beach, a Marin resort, Mt. Tamalpais, or anything in between, I know of many creative venues.

Whether it’s a gathering of 5 or 500, I will keep the atmosphere light yet sacred, so you can savor this joyful and memorable event. Many wedding guests tell my couples that theirs was the best and most meaningful wedding ceremony they have attended.

Here are a few things you can count on:

  • I’m a well-experienced, professional officiant.
  • My voice carries, but is also kind and loving.
  • I offer sophistication, integrity, and humor.
  • I’m always on time, accommodating, and attentive to detail.
  • If something “comes up” during the ceremony, such as runaway ring bearers, readers with stage fright, crying children (or adults), I’m flexible, emotionally present, and spontaneous.

Credentials:
I am an ordained minister through Centers for Spiritual Living, a denomination that studies the wisdom truths that are common among most religious traditions.

Wedding Ceremonies By Rev. Katherine

Bill B., from Bainbridge Island, Washington writes:
“My wife and I do not live in California, but we were searching for a small, intimate venue for our wedding in the Marin area to be near my parents who no longer travel. Most of the venues we looked at listed Katherine Revoir as a ‘Preferred Officiant.’ We liked what we read about her and contacted her for an interview. We really liked her style, and her values resonated with ours. Katherine had many suggestions for beautiful ways to include my elderly parents and blend our two families, which ranged from infants to folks in their late 80s.

“Every wedding is unique, including the unexpected developments. All through the last-second wardrobe malfunctions, a needed piano switch caused by stage fright, babies, youth and octogenarians tiring, Katherine was the overseeing calmness that saw a very beautiful ceremony unfold. The pace was perfect for us, allowing significant moments of quiet reflection that create a special experience. We felt at one with our now combined families, which will serve to unite us for our years ahead. We had many compliments on what was a unique, personal ceremony well suited for our personalities and the fact that we are a middle-aged couple seeking the wedding of our dreams; a wedding that needed to include my children, my wife's child, and four generations of family. We cannot express how wonderful the ceremony was for us. Thank you, Katherine!”
