This work has remodeled my life, and I’m delighted to help others shift from being self-critical to making their brains a happy place to live.
Meet Katherine
I founded Center for Richer Living in 2007 as a teaching community. I am a neuroscience educator, counselor, published author, and family constellations facilitator. As an ordained minister in Centers for Spiritual Living I officiate weddings and memorials.
I help folks heal their brains from trauma. Our brains are neuroplastic. Through integrating relational neuroscience, constellation work, and resonant language, you can become less reactive to stress and painful triggers that hijack your well being.
Learning about relational neuroscience changed my brain. Now, it’s much easier for me to love others and myself without needing to fix or give unsolicited advice. It is deeply meaningful for me to support others in shifting from being self-critical to making their brains a happy place to live. I know this process works because it is working for me.
Things You Might Not Know About Me
For delight and spiritual connection, I enjoy being in big nature.
I owned two art-related corporations, and have licensed artwork and designs to over twenty manufacturers.
I’m the proud mother of a daughter and a son, both highly inspiring artists. They, along with my two grandchildren, are my most important and beloved teachers. I plan my life so I can be a consistent, warm presence in their lives.
I have participated in constellation work with my teacher, Sarah Peyton at the Coffee Creek Women’s Correctional Facility.
I have facilitated expressive painting workshops at San Quentin Prison.
When I was young, I bought a house with the help of many family members, and have been sharing this home with others for the past 44 years. We call my home The Sanctuary.
I love to balance my nervous system by making soup.
Spiritual Doodles and Mental Leapfrogs
By Katherine Q. Revoir
Red Wheel/Weiser, Newburyport, MA
With a whimsical sense of fun that reveals a deeper quest to integrate your authentic self, Katherine Revoir has created a humorous playbook full of exercises and games that help you to nurture your wildest creativity, awaken your heart’s passion, and doodle your way to a deeper self-connection.
Spiritual Doodles and Mental Leapfrogs is a playground of experiences that uses both the right and left sides of the brain as well as the heart to reawaken your sense of awe, and expand your spiritual self-discovery. Spiritual leaders from various wisdom traditions say in different ways that we are ALWAYS connected with Spirit, and our awareness is the only thing that stands between ourselves and the connection that we seek.
And now for the BEST part: lack of art training is a bonus!
Create! A Sketchbook and Journal
By Katherine Q. Revoir
Chronicle Books, San Francisco, CA
CREATE! is an interactive adventure that encourages kids to be as silly and creative as they like. Although this activity book was designed for kids between the ages of 7-14, it is also widely enjoyed by adults, as it focuses on our natural desire and ability to create and play.
You can sketch, write, draw, paste, doodle in the margins — create any way you want! This journal of fun-filled activities and eight colored pencils helps kids let their imaginations run free, with lots of encouragement and inspiration along the way.
A few examples of the play exercises are:
Imagine you’re a superhero and write about how you would save the world.
Design your own decorative stamps.
Design an underwater house.
Make up a new TV show and design the costumes and the story.
Out of print but available to download online.
